Tarapith Temple Top Tourist Place near Santiniketan in West Bengal, Photos, Myth and Information

Tarapith- Myth and Information:-
Tarapith is a renowned and sacred Hindu pilgrimage destination in Birbhum district. A good number of devotees and travelers visit Tarapith everyday. Tarapith is located in a village Tarapur under Rampurhat Police Station in Birbhum District. Tarapith is one of the 51 Shakti Pithas spotted across all over india. Tarapith is one of the sacred places where the eye ball (Tara) of Sati fell.
Tarapith is also famous for world known great saint Bama Khyapa. According to myth, near the burning ground in Tarapith the saint Bama Khyapa sat in meditation. Maa Tara appeared before him and gave him devine power. Sadhak Bama Khyapa acquired “Siddhi Lav”.
